Schools in Delhi to reopen from tomorrow

New Delhi: Schools including the private ones in the National Capital will reopen from tomorrow for all classes.

In a tweet, Delhi Deputy Chief Minster Manish Sisodia had shared on November 27 an order issued by the Additional Director of Education Rita Sharmda. The order mentioned that the Department of Environment and Forest has allowed the reopening of schools in Delhi.

“Therefore…all the government, government-aided, unaided recognised, NDMC, MCDs and Delhi Cantonment schools will reopen from November 29 for all classes,” the order stated.

Heads of all the schools were asked to share the information among students, staff members, management committees and parents.

Schools and colleges were shut since March, 2020 due to the pandemic. However, the institutions were briefly opened in the National Capital this month.

The authorities again ordered their closure to minimise exposure of children to the bad air.
