Search on for new Tulasi, storyline of ‘To Aganara Tulasi Mu’ changed

The mega television serial ‘To Aganara Tulasi Mu’ aired on a private entertainment channel of Odisha is heading for a dramatic twist, after its main character ‘Iccha/Tulasi’ played by Jessy alias Pralipta Priyadarshini Samal has been arrested on charges of abetment to suicide of telly actor Ranjit Patnaik aka Raja.

Since the chances of Jessy coming back to the small screen in the immediate future are slim, the original storyline has been modified with she being kidnapped in the soap opera.

According to sources, a search is going on for a replacement to play the character of Iccha.

Initially, Svetlana was playing the character of Tulasi. But, she was taken out due to some issues. And Jessy was replaced and portrayed as main character Iccha by the director.

To avoid any negativity associated with the Raja’s suicide case of the popular family serial, the channel has tightened its belt for crucial changes.

Notably, Jessy was arrested on February 16 on abetment of suicide charges in the case related to Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja’s death.

She has been sent to 15-day judicial custody after her bail plea was rejected by Soro Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court.
