Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today granted conditional bail to real estate broker Subhankar Nayak, an accused in the Seashore chit fund scam.

The court directed him to furnish two sureties of Rs 2 lakh each and Rs 5 lakh cash surety or property surety.

He was also asked by the court not to influence witnesses of the case and cooperate in the investigation process.

The CBI had arrested Subhankar for his alleged links with Seashore Group on November 18, 2014, hours after his house in Chandrama Apartments in Bhubaneswar was raided. It is learnt that he was an influence peddler and had acted as the middleman between Seashore Group and top bureaucrats.
