Sec 144 imposed around quarantine centres in Odisha’s Kandhamal

Phulbani: With an aim to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and safeguard the life of people, the Kandhamal district administration today imposed prohibitory orders of Sec 144 of CrPC around the temporary medical campus and institutional quarantine centers in the district.

In an order, Kandhamal Collector and District Magistrate, Brundha D. said no unauthorised persons will be allowed to enter within 100 meters radius of temporary medical campus and institutional quarantine centers in the district.

Police officials and Magistrates were also directed to keep watch on roaming of unauthorised persons around the temporary medical campus and institutional quarantine centers.

If anyone violates the order, complaint will be lodged against the concerned person under Section 188 IPC. The order comes into force from today till it is revoked or rescinded by the District Magistrate court.
