Second OPOLFED ‘Chicken Fresh’ outlet opened in Odisha capital

The second OPOLFED Chicken Fresh outlet was inaugurated by Odisha’s Agriculture, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Minister Pradeep Maharathy at the premises of Directorate of Horticulture, IRC Village here today.

The project has been taken up by OPOLFED with financial assistance from the Odisha Government.

Consumers can get processed hygienic meat within 10 minutes of placing order from this center. The chicken meat would be free from blood tinges with complete de-bleeding at the processing unit which will make the meat highly palatable to the consumers.

Consumers will have the option of getting chicken meat as per their choice such as leg piece and breast piece etc too.

Chicken meat of different broiler birds, country birds, Banaraja, Rainbow Rooster variety, besides duck, quail meat are available to the consumers. The price of poultry meat and eggs are comparatively cheaper than the existing market prices.

Apart from chicken, farm fresh eggs (both white and brown colour) are being made available to the consumers in packs at this outlet too. Bulk supply can be made to the consumers during festivals or specila occasions like marriage ceremonies within the shortest possible lime.

Besides, OPOLFED is exploring the possibility of a tie-up with Venky’s India Limited to provide ready to eat chicken products to the consumers at an affordable price. Recently it started supply of chicken fresh products to the consumers in BMC area at their doorstep through online payment by visiting the site www.chickenfresh.in which is gaining momentum by the day.

It may be noted that a semi-automatic chicken processing unit with a capacity of processing 2000 broiler birds per day has already been operating at Sahidnagar since May. The unit experiences 400-500 footfalls a day and does a monthly business of about Rs 8-10 lakh.
