The second phase medical counseling in Odisha for admission in 167 MBBS seats would be held on July 24.
Counseling would be held for 100 MBBS seats in SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, 9 in MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Brahmapur, 16 in VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla, 12 in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, 12 in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela, 6 in SCB Dental College, Cuttack and 12 in Hi-Tech Medical Dental College, Bhubaneswar.
The counseling, conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), would be held for the remaining seats that had fallen vacant after the first phase counseling held on June 30.
The students will be allowed two days on July 25 and 26 to go for choice locking in the DMET website www.dmetodisha.gov.in to select their preferred institute.
However, the number of the above vacant seats is likely to increase after the first round All India Counseling after July 21.
The update seat matrix will be published before the second round counseling.
It may be mentioned that out of a total of 679 seats, 612 seats have been allotted. While the counseling was to be held for the remaining 67 seats, the 100 more seats for the SCB Medical College, approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), would also be included in the second phase counseling.
