Section-144 clamped near all quarantine centres in this Odisha district

Paralakhemundi: The Gajapati district administration today imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 near all temporary medical camps (TMCs) and quarantine centres to prevent spread of coronavirus and avoid unpleasant situations created by locals over the facilities.

As per the order, the restriction will remain  in force within 100 metre radius of the facilities. With this, no person will be allowed to enter the areas without prior permission from district officials concerned.

Police and officials in charge of the facilities have been directed to make sure adherence of the order. Strong action will be taken against the violators, said Collector Anupam Saha.

Today, six positive cases were reported from Gajapati district. All the patients were lodged in quarantine centres after their return from Maharashtra. With this, the total number of cases in the district mounted to 10, all active.
