Bhadrak: Keeping in view the scheduled arrival of a number  of trains carrying stranded migrants at Bhadrak Railway Station today and tomorrow, the district administration today imposed prohibitory orders under Section-144 in and around the railway station in  Charampa area of the district.

The prohibition will remain in force for 24 hours from 2 pm today to 2 pm tomorrow.

The arrival of a large number of people at Bhadrak Railway Station will create a challenge for the administration for smooth dispersal of the returnees from the station to their respective destinations and maintenance of law and order, said Collector Gyana Das.

The following areas will remain under the prohibition:

1-Within 500 metres radious of Charampa Railway Station.

2- Dagarasahi School Chhak to Ghunthunia Bazar Railway Malgodown Road.

3- Telangasahi Gali Chhak to Kailash Film Hall Chhak.

4-Charampa overbridge Chhak upto Xavier School Chhak

5- Belamala to Railway Station Chhak.

With this, movement of individuals and all non-essential activities will remain strictly prohibited during the stipulated period.  However, vehicles engaged for shifting of the returnees to their destinations will be allowed.

The OIC of Bhadrak GRP police station, Bhadrak Town police station IIC and Bhadrak Rural police station IIC have been directed to promulgate and enforce the order and ensure law and order in the prohibited area . Violators will be  prosecuted under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005  and IPC.
