Security is being tightened in Swabhiman area: DGP

Malkangiri: Security has been tightened in the Swabhiman area of Malkangiri district in last six months, said DGP, Odisha, Abhay today.

He further said the State government is eager to carry out more developmental works in the Swabhiman area. After inaugurating the Jodamba police station, the DGP said presence of police in the area will expedite the developmental works in the area.

He reached the Daralabeda in Swabhiman area at around 10.30 am by a helicopter. The DGP then visited the construction work of roads in Jodamba.

The police are tightening security in the Swabhiman area so that people of the area will get benefits of all the government schemes, he said.

At present construction of seven major roads are on in the area.

He also held a review meeting with BSF officials on anti-Maoist operations.
