Selfie on railway track costs youth his life in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Taking selfie on railway track proved fatal for a youth in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today as a train hit him killing him on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Prabadyut Tiwana (24) of Tiwari Gali under Khetrajpur police limits in the district.

As per eyewitnesses, the youth was clicking selfie standing on the railway track near Atharahazaar under Burla police limits in the district this evening. Though the level crossing was closed, he took his motorcycle and parked it on the track.

In the meantime, a freight train hit him from behind resulting in his death on the spot. Burla police have recovered the body for post-mortem and registered an unnatural death case into the incient.
