Senior forest official under Vigilance scanner in Odisha

Puri:  Wildlife Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) of Puri Prashant Kumar Swain came under Vigilance scanner following complaint of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Separate teams of the anti-corruption wing conducted simultaneous raids on his office and houses at five places this morning. They searched his office and rented house in Puri, residential house at Mahabhoi Sasana in Bhubaneswar, paternal house at Sisilo under Balianta police station in Khordha district and father-in-law’s house in Dhenkanal Station Bazar.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets that the Government official has possessed will be ascertained after completion of the raids.
