Berhampur:  Another senior journalist in Odisha has succumbed to the deadly COVID-19.

Kishore Chandra Dash (61), who was the Correspondent of leading vernacular daily 'Samaja' for Polsara in the district, died while undergoing treatment at Tata COVID Hospital in wee hours today.

He was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for the virus few days ago. However, his condition deteriorated yesterday due to fluctuation in oxygen level and breathed his last at around 2.30 AM today.

Dash was associated with the leading Odia newspaper over the last three decades.

A pal of gloom descended on the area after reports of his death surfaced. With his demise, total 19 mediapersons in the state have died to the virus in the second wave of the pandemic.
