Senior Odisha bureaucrat arrested on disproportionate assets charges

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department Special Secretary Ajay Kumar Das was today by Vigilance officials on charges of acquisition and possession of disproportionate property.

The total disproportionate of the senior bureaucrat detected so far have been calculated as Rs 3 crore. The value may increase further, said Vigilance sources.

Yesterday, separate teams of the anti-corruption wing conducted simultaneous raids at his residential house and native place at Ratnakara Bag in Tankapani Road here, flat in Patia area, and a double storied building in Balasore.

During the searches, three flats in his name– two in Bhubaneswar and one in Puri– were traced by the anti-graft teams.
