Senior Odisha bureaucrat under Vigilance scanner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials today raided multiple places in connection with an allegation against Ajay Kumar Das, Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Simultaneous raids were conducted by the sleuths of the anti-corruption agency at the official’s residential house at Ratnakara Bag, Tankapani Road, Bhubaneswar, his native place at Ratnakara Bag, Bhubaneswar, his flat at Patia, Bhubaneswar, and his double-storied building in Balasore, official sources said.

During the searches, 3 flats in his name– two in Bhubaneswar and one in Puri– were trace till last reports came in. The raids were underway and calculation of the total value of his movable and immovable properties was yet to be completed.
