Separate sitting for Odisha JEE on Oct 22; here’re details

Bhubaneswar:  The Board of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will conduct a separate sitting of the entrance on October 22. The separate sitting for LE Tech Diploma, BTech and BPharm subjects will be held for students, who could not appear in the exam that  began yesterday due to issue in allocation of centre preferred by the candidates.

In an e-mil communication to candidates, OJEE Chairman SK Chand said the students will be allotted a test centre in any of their preferred cities/towns  as furnished in their original application. The candidates will also have the option to choose to appear the exam either at their present test centre as per the existing schedule or at the new test centre on October 22 as per the new schedule.

The students have been asked to confirm their choice and inform the Board about the same by email as early as possible, the communique reads.

The Board Chairman informed that 71 % of the students appeared in the exam on the first day yesterday. While a total of 10,717 students in the state have registered to appear in the entrance,  7,633 gave the exam yesterday.

The exam, which will continue till October 19, is being conducted in three shifts per day in adherence all COVID-19 protocols.

It is pertinent to OJEE is being held at 54 examination centres in 21 cities/towns  of Odisha and five centres outside the state.
