Bhubaneswar: A sepoy was found hanging from a tree on the premises of the 7th Battalion in Odisha capital, today.

The deceased was identified as Duryodhan Mohanty. He was a 2002-batch sepoy.

The Maitree Vihar police have started an investigation into the matter after registering an unnatural death case.

The cause of the death can be ascertained after submission of the post-mortem report, said police.

It is being suspected that he took the extreme step of ending his life by hanging himself over family dispute and loan.
