At least seven persons were injured when crackers exploded inside a puja shop at Dama Sahi under Khandapada block of Odisha's Nayagarh district this morning.

According to reports, the mishap took place when the shopkeeper had kept the crackers near a light bulb in order to demoisturize it. Due to high temperature, the crackers exploded, sources said.

A person namely Asmaan Nayak, who was critically injured in the explosion, has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
