Jharsuguda: Police last night busted a sex racket operating at a hotel in Panchapada area of Odisha's Jharsuguda district and rescued 13 women engaged in the flesh trade.

As many as 14 persons were also detained by the cops for questioning in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off about the illegal activity, the Jharsuguda Town police raided the hotel and busted the racket.

During thorough search conducted by the police, numerous incriminating articles related to the offence were seized from the premises.

Further probe by police was underway to ascertain the possible involvement of others in the racket.
