Sex racket busted in Berhampur; 10 held, four women rescued from hotel

Berhampur: Police last night busted a sex racket operating from a hotel in Odisha’s Berhampur town and arrested 10 persons in this connection besides rescuing four women engaged in the flesh trade.

According to reports, the Berhampur SP, acting on a tip-off about the illegal activity undergoing at Tulasi Guest House located at Tata Benz Square in the town, reached the spot.

On being informed by the official, Nuagaon police and Baidyanathpur police also rushed to the place. A police team raided the hotel and apprehended 10 customers present inside the building.

The cops also rescued four women from the hotel.

Further probe by police was underway to ascertain the possible involvement of others in the sex racket.
