Sex racket busted in Odisha’s Balangir, 2 held

Bhubaneswar: The police claimed to have busted a sex racket at Patnagarh in Odisha’s Balangir district and arrested two youths in this connection.

The police have also rescued a woman from West Bengal in connection with the case, sources said.

Some people were running a sex racket in a rented room at Ekapada under Patnagarh NAC for last several days. On a tip-off, the police raided the room last night and arrested the two youths apart from rescuing the woman, sources added.

The police have seized certain objectionable items, two mobile phones and Rs 2,500 in cash from the room.

“We have registered a case in this regard. The arrested duo would be produced in a local court after medical examination,” said Patnagarh SDPO Jyotirmaya Bhukta.
