SFIO grills Seashore Group chief and others in jail in Odisha capital

A team of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) today interrogated Ponzi firm Seashore Group chief Prasant Dash, his brother Pravat Dash and fixer Subhankar Nayak at the Jharpada Special Jail here.

According to reports, the trio was grilled by the SFIO team on the alleged violations of company law committed by the Seashore Group.

Notably, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs through a special notification had asked the SFIO to mainly investigate frauds/violations committed by Seashore Group in violation of the provisions of the Companies Act.

The Bhubaneswar Special CBI Court had recently permitted SFIO to interrogate the trio. The Court had directed the SFIO to complete its interrogation within a month.

It may be mentioned here that earlier the SFIO had interrogated another Ponzi firm Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chief Pradeep Sethi and three other directors of the Group at the Jharpada Special Jail here.
