Shame! 4-year-old girl raped after being lured with chocolates in Odisha

Rourkela: After the Kandhamal residential school schoker, another shameful incident has come to the fore with reports of rape of a four-year-old girl in Sundergarh district.

However, police have arrested the accused identified as Sanjay Dungdung (30) of Goppur village under Raiboga police limits in the district.

Sources said Sanjay took the minor girl out from her house last evening by luring her on the pretext of offering chocolates. He later took her to a nearby school playground and raped her. When the four-year-old kid lost her consciousness, the youth fled the spot.

Later, locals rescued the girl and admitted her to a nearbyby hospital, from where she was shifted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) as her condition deteriorated. Her condition is stated to be critical, hospital sources said.
