Shame! 7-year-old girl raped by uncle in Odisha; accused held

Sundargarh: A person was arrested today on charges of raping his seven-year-old niece at Bhasma area in Sundargarh district.

The accused person has been identified as Telespar Tapno

The incident had occurred on January 15. However, the arrest was made following complaint by victim’s family with police today.

According to reports, the victim was staying at her maternal grandmother’s house after death of her parents. Tapno had visited the house on January 15. He raped her while she was alone after showing her porn videos.

Later, he fled as the girl’s grandmother rushed to the house after hearing her scream.

The victim’s grandmother had informed about the incident to the villagers. As the matter was not compromised at village, she lodged a complaint at Bhasma Police Station.
