Shame! Spurned lover, friends gang rape young girl in Odisha

Angul: In yet another shameful incident reported from Pallahara here, a young girl was allegedly gang raped by a spurned lover and his two friends after she turned down his proposal.

The prime accused identified as Kalia Mahakud was arrested by the police following a complaint by the victim’s family.

Other two persons accused in the incident are still at large.

According to reports, Kalia, a carpenter, was in love with the girl in the past two-three years. After she rejected his love, he along with two friends identified as Hemant Mahakud and Dushasan Sitari, who are auto drivers, forcibly took her from the house at 11.00 pm on Oct 30 and outraged her modesty in a secluded place near a hill. The three left her in a state of an unconscious and fled from the area.

The victim returned her house the next morning and narrated the nightmare before her family.

The Pallahara police arrested the prime accused Kalia following registering a case against him and his two aides for allegedly gang raping the girl.
