Shame! Young woman ends life after being raped in Odisha  

Bhadrak: In yet another instance of rising rape cases in Odisha,  a young woman committed suicide after allegedly being raped by a fellow villager in Dhusuri police station area of Bhadrak district today.

The rape came to the fore after police recovered a suicide letter from her room today. The suicide note mentions that the woman was raped by a youth of the same village on Thursday.

As per the complaint, a youth identified as Santosh Majhi entered the house on Thursday when she was alone and later raped her. The accused is absconding after the incident.

Meanwhile, police have seized the suicide note and begun an investigation into the incident.
