Shankaracharya blames successive govts, predecessors for Swargadwara land grab

Shankaracharya of Govardhan Peeth Jagadguru Swami Nischalananda Saraswati today blamed the governments in power in the state at different points of time and his predecessors for the Swargadwara land grab.

“The one who was vested with the authority before I came here and his predecessors have misutilised their powers and as a result of which land has got transferred into the hands of undesirable elements,” said the seer addressing a press conference.

“Before I came here, the in-charge of the mutt was beaten up. Even documents were stolen from the mutt premises and the land was occupied. From geographical point of view the mutt was non-existent. Neglect of the administration, directionless governance and apathy of Odisha Chief Ministers is responsible for such state of affairs,” he added.
