Sharp decline in Odisha’s daily COVID-19 cases as 5,235 test positive
Bhubaneswar: Odisha today witnessed a major decline in its single-day COVID tally as 5235 persons contracted the virus in last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total caseload mounted to 8,42,461.
Total 65,635 samples were tested yesterday, said official sources.
Of the fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 2957 are quarantine cases and 2278 local contact cases. Khordha district recorded highest 726 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (557) and Jajpur (394).
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 66,226.
