‘Sherawaliye’ singer Narendra Chanchal no more

New Delhi: Popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here today. He was 80.

The singer was admitted to the hospital in south Delhi following health complications. He breathed his last at 12:15 PM today.

Chanchal was hospitalized on November 27 and died after suffering from brain complications, sources said .

The singer became popular in every household across the country for his Bhajan ‘Tune Mujhe Bulaya Sherawaliye’.

After reports of his demise surfaced, condolences started pouring in from different quarters. Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi took to micro-blogging site Twitter and expressed his grief over his demise.
