Shivling unearthed in Odisha village

Bhadrak: A shivling has been unearthed at a village playground in Bhadrak district, a local source said today.

The ancient sculpture of Lord Shiva and other artifacts were discovered during excavation for a park project at an open field at Goramati village on Saturday evening.

The shivling was traced after an implement of a tractor engaged for the project hit a stone-like substance. When the workers dig out to ascertain something hidden under the ground, they found a shivling.

After hearing the news, the locals nearby the village rushed to the place in large number to see the shivling and worshipped the representation of Lord Shiva.
