Shocked over boyfriend’s death, girl ends life in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A 19-year-old girl reportedly ended her life after the death of her boyfriend in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, Bipra Kisan (24) of Chinimahul village under Jamankira police limits and his girlfriend Sunita Mirdha of Sadapali village under Jujumura police limits had gone to the Padiabahal weekly market.

While returning home on a motorcycle, Bipra met with an accident and died on the spot.

Being shocked over his death, Sunita took the extreme step of dying by suicide as she hanged herself from a mango tree on the outskirts of her village in the evening.

On being informed, police reached the place, recovered the body for post-mortem and later handed it over to her family members.

A pall of gloom descended on the village after the tragic incident.
