Shocking! Minor rapes 5-yr-old in Odisha

Sambalpur: In yet another shocking incident, a five-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by a minor in Gosala village under Burla police station limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today.

The accused, a 15-year-old boy, who happens to be a neighbour of the victim, has been arrested by the police on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim’s parents at Burla police station.

Police have produced the accused before the Juvenile Justice Board.

According to reports, the victim, who was playing outside her house was allegedly lured by the accused to his house and raped.

As the child did not return home after a reasonable period of time, her parents after frantically searching for her heard her crying.

The sound of her cries was coming from their neighbour’s house. On entering the house, they found her in critical condition with the accused being present there.
