Shopping mall employee found hanging in rented house in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: A youth reportedly found hanging under mysterious circumstances in his rented accommodation in Odisha capital here today.

The deceased has been identified as Sachitra Barik of Balipatna. He was working in a popular shopping mall in Rasulgarh area of the city, sources said.

Sachitra was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a cotton towel in his rented accommodation at GGP Colony today morning.

Sachitra was alone in his room yesterday night and he had not talked to his family members for the last two days, sources said.

“I had gone to may village for two days and Sachitra was alone in the room. I came to know about his death only after reaching the city today. I had noticed that Sachitra was under depression for the last few days,” said his roommate.

Sachitra’s family, meanwhile, revealed that he might have taken the extreme step due to his failed relationship with a girl.

The police have seized the body and initiated a probe into the incident.
