Bhubaneswar: For the first time, an International film festival on lessons learnt from COVID-19 will be held online.
Director of the COVID19 International Film Festival (CIFF), Satyabrata Jena says, "During the lockdown all are at home as the coronavirus pandemic has made the whole world standstill. The art, culture, literature, entertainment, business and economy have collapsed, and in this period we are bringing an online platform for you all to participate and share your ideas or lessons that we gained from the COVID-19 pandemic in a positive perspective through a short film”.
The Short Film duration should be of 2 to 5 minutes only.
The short film will be judged by the juries and can be seen online by all participants and general audience at the same time.
Another director of the festival Jagannath Pani informed that 35 countries have participated in the CIFF and the screening/results will be declared on May 27, 2020. The film festival is organised by Orifarming.
Among the best listed films are "BACK INSIDE" from Afghanistan, "GLOBAL ECHOES OF HAPPINESS" from Norway, and "PATIENCE IN LOCKDOWN" from India.
"PATIENCE IN LOCKDOWN" based on a true story about the impact of Lockdown on two national-level players (Skaters) & their father. "Every cloud has a silver lining". This move explains that every difficult or sad situation has a comforting or more hopeful aspect, even though this may not be immediately apparent.
This movie is produced by Odisha Roller Skating Association; Story & Script has been penned by Soudamini Patra. The cast include Pratik Arnav, Pritish Aryan and Partha Sarathi Jena.
