Bhubaneswar: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) today successfully test-fired the short-range ballistic missile 'Pralay' off Odisha coast.
The surface-to-surface missile was fired at 9.50 a.m on Tuesday from Abdul Kalam Island in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Odisha, with a strike range upto 500 km.
'Pralay', India's first conventional quasi-ballistic missile, weighs 5 tonne. It is capable of carrying a conventional warhead of about 800 kg.
