Shramik Special train passenger delivers baby at railway station in Odisha

Balangir: A passenger of Kazipet-Balangir Shramik Special train delivered a baby girl at Odisha’s Titlagarh railway station today, East Coast Railway sources said.

According to reports, the woman namely Hema Kanti complained of labour pain and gave birth to the baby around 10.15 am in the presence of Railway Divisional Medical Officer after the train reached Titlagarh railway station.

The mother-baby duo was detrained at 10.55 am and shifted to Government Hospital. Their condition was stated to be stable.

Couple of days ago, a 35-year-old woman of Balangir had delivered a baby boy in Secunderabad-Balangir Shramik Special train on May 22.
