Cuttack, July 14:
After over two months of suspension of classes at the SCB Medical College and Hospital, School of Nursing, the authorities today lifted the sine die and asked the students to resume classes from tomorrow.
According to reports, the authorities have asked the students to return to the hostel and attend classes from tomorrow.
It may be recalled that the Health and Family Welfare Department had declared sine die in the nursing school on May 12 following unrest in the campus over the allegations of 4th year student Subhadra Murmu that she was misbehaved and assaulted by the Principal of Nursing School Kajal Rani Sinha.
The students had resorted to agitation demanding action against the Principal. They were insistent that the principal be sacked or transferred from the institute for making casteist remarks and slapping a fellow student.
Later, the students had filed FIRs with the Mangalabag police station.
