Six hardcore criminals arrested in Odisha after exchange of fire

Special squad of Twin City Commissionerate Police today arrested six notorious criminals while hatching a conspiracy to commit crime on the outskirts of Odisha capital.

According to reports, the group was plotting plan to rob a petrol pump in Khamang Bazar on the outskirts of the capital city.

Acting on a tip-off, Commissionerate police conducted a surprise raid on them leading to an exchange of fire between the cops and criminals.

However, the special team managed to nab six criminals in the raid.

The team also seized three bikes, pistol and live bullets from their possession.

The arrested youths are history-sheeters and have many criminal cases pending at different police stations in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. They are also involved in looting Rs nine lakh from Barang and six major criminal cases, informed a police official.
