Six more Odisha officials dismissed from service on graft charges

Bhubaneswar: Continuing its onslaught against corrupt officials and zero tolerance towards corruption, the Odisha government today dismissed six more officials on corruption charges. Further, pension benefit of four more retired officials has been stopped by it.

These six persons have been been convicted by Vigilance courts in the state.

The dismissed officials are:

Junior clerk Sanjit Kumar Ray working with Kuanrmunda Tehsil under Sundergarh Collectorate of Commerce and Transport department.

Former Assistant Engineer of Baripada ITDA, Baikuntha Bihari Pradhan.

Dr Bhagirathi Biswal, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry department.

Junior Engineer Basant Kumar Patra, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department, Dhenkanal.

Kutra block Panchayat Executive Officer Trilochan Seth, under Sundargarh Collectorate.

Bonai block Panchayat Executive Officer Astam Chandra Patel.

The officials whose pension has been stopped are:

Former Executive Engineer in Water Resources department, Goutam Chandra Prusty.

Former GM of OCC Bikram Keshari Patnaik.

Rabindra Kumar Jena, Former Establishment Officer Office of Chief Engineer, Sewerage Board office in Cuttack.

Former Junior Engineer in Baripada ITDA, Rabi Narayan Mohanty.

Worth mentioning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had earlier this month dismissed 15 officials, stopped pension of two others owing their conviction in graft cases.
