Six of a family fall ill after consuming poisonous mushroom in Odisha

Nabarangpur: Mushroom poisoning resulted in six members of a family, including three children, to fall ill, here today.

According to reports, the incident occurred at Daspur village of Raighar block in the family of one Janaki Sarkar. A troop of mushrooms was growing the backyard of Sarkar’s house, that was cooked for lunch today.

After eating the dish, multiple members of the family experienced symptoms such as headache and vomiting. They were first taken to Raighar Primary Health Centre and then shifted to Umerkote Community Health Centre.

They are undergoing treatment and the treating physician said that their condition is currently stable.
