Bhubaneswar, Apr 10:
There was a marginal fall in temperature in many parts of the Odisha today as the overcast conditions and light rainfall over some parts of the state offered a little relief from the gruelling heat wave.
While Talcher remained the hottest place for the second consecutive day with 42.2 degree Celsius, temperature rose to 40 degree and above in Angul (41.6), Sambalpur (40.1), Titlagarh (40) and Malkangiri (40.6).
The Met office has predicted rain or thunder showers at one or two places during the next 48 hours after which the temperature would rise again across the state.
