Smuggled snails seized from Kolkata-bound buses in Odisha; 6 held

Balasore: Smuggling of snails seems to be rampant in Odisha as police seized a huge number of snails from two Kolkata-bound buses near Shergarh toll gate on NH-16 in Balasore district today.

Reportedly, the Khantapada police seized hundreds of sacks containing snails, which were being smuggled to Kolkata from Dhamra in Bhadrak district in the two buses. The cops also detained six persons in this connection and interrogating  them.

The two buses had registration numbers- OD-01X-1575 and OR-01 S-8771.
