Snake bites drunk man as he plays with it in Odisha’s Ganjam
Berhampur: A snake bit a drunk man while he was playing with the reptile at Khajuria on the outskirts of Berhampur town in Odisha’s Ganjam district, today.
The victim, identified as Budu Reddy, was rescued by police and admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here for treatment.

As per locals, Reddy picked up the snake in an inebriated state and roamed across the village holding the animal. He also tried to perform adventurous acts with the snake, during which the reptile bit him.
On being informed by the villagers, police reached the place and rescued him.
Locals said the man has been involved in such dangerous acts for a while as he plays with snakes and scorpions in the locality after consuming liquor.
