Snakebite victim reaches hospital with serpent in Odisha

Malkangiri: In a bizarre incident, a youth reached the district headquarters hospital in Odisha’s Malkangiri with a snake which bit him.

Partha Sarkar of MV-63 village in the district was bitten by a snake while he was bathing in a pond in the locality yesterday.

He then thrashed the reptile to death and rushed to the hospital with the lifeless snake, which had bitten him at his left leg.

People present at the hospital were shocked to see him in such condition. Luckily, the snake was non-venomous and he was discharged from the hospital after primary treatment.
