Cuttack: Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) is going to launch a series of lectures from Oct 02. On the 2nd of every month, a thought provoking topic shall be lectured upon by an expert of the subject. This is being launched to stimulate social consciousness on matters concerning language, culture and history, the organisers said.
The first of these lectures is on ‘Who got independence for India/Bharat ? Gandhiji or Netaji’. This lecture shall be delivered by noted socio-political leader, Chairman of SNSMT and lead member of Netaji movement Suparno Satpathy. The hour-long session will begin at 5 pm come Monday.
The venue chosen for these lectures is the iconic 9, Pithapur of Cuttack. In 1932, this address was the headquarter (HQ) of India’s freedom struggle martyr legendary Bhagabati Charan Panigrahi and in 1972 the said address was the headquarter of the then CM of Orissa legendary Nandini Satpathy.
