SOA Community Radio observes World Radio Day in Odisha capital

World Radio Day was observed by the Community Radio Station of SOA University in the Odisha capital today emphasizing the unique power of radio to touch lives and bring people together across the globe.

Community RadioA cake shaped like a radio was sliced into pieces by Principal secretary, Food and Civil Supplies and Information and Public Relations, Madhusudan Padhi graced the occasion in the presence of the SOA vice chancellor Prof Amit Banerjee and Director (Admissions) Dr Manas Kumar Mallick.

The Voice of SOA Community (VSC), the community radio station, has been functioning for over two years imparting useful programs involving health, education, agriculture, career counseling, women empowerment, child care and other awareness campaigns while having an entertainment component.

Padhi visited the studio of VSC and took part in discussions. He also gave away certificates to ten students of the University who had participated in the 5th National Gateball Championship recently.

Station director Rusi Patnaik conducted the programme.
