SP rules out Maoist hand in Golamunda block fire

Computers, two air conditioners, a large number of files and office furniture in Golamunda block office were gutted in a fire that broke out Friday night.

Kalahandi SP Sarthak Sarangi has attributed the fire to electric short circuit and has ruled out the hand of Maoists in the incident.

But the discovery of a poster purportedly written and left by the Maoists at the place of the fire has spread panic in the area.

The poster having the name of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) Zonal committee mentioned on it carried a threate that the BDO of Golamunda will be abducted.
