Spike of 3600 COVID-19 cases in Odisha; here’re district-wise details

Bhubaneswar:  As many as 3600 more persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,26,334, informed the Government.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2109 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1491 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.

Khordha recorded highest  766 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (368) and Mayurbhanj (156).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 35,326.  However, 1,90,080 patients have recovered in the state so far.

Total 48,217 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 33,48,861 tests have been conducted in the state.
