Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police has busted a fake detergent and salt making unit in Shiv Sakti Nagar of the State Capital here today. As per reports, Pahala Thana police received a tip-off that spurious detergent and salt were being manufactured under the labels of Surf Excel and Tata Salt at a unit in Shiv Sakti Nagar within its limits. A team led by ACP Zone IV then conducted a raid at the place and has started recovering the fake products.

"We got information that a unit was making fake Tata Salt and Surf Excel products at a unit in Shiv Sakti Nagar within Pahala Thana police limits. Searches were subsequently carried out and the spurious items seized. Those involved in the illegal activity will be nabbed soon. Investigation is underway," said Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh.
