Stage set for annual Plus Two exams in Odisha

The stage is set for the annual Plus Two examinations which will begin in Odisha tomorrow.

Plus Two +2About 3,72,000 students of Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education streams would appear in the examinations which is 50,000 more than the last year’s examinations.

The three-hour examination would begin at 10 AM.

On the first day of the examination, students of Science will appear for the English paper.

As decided, the question papers would be opened in the presence of the representatives of the district collectors.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has asked all centre superintendents to conduct the examinations in free and fair manner.

The council, for the first time, has decided to send the answer sheets to the evaluation centres through speed post. Earlier, they were sent through registered posts.

Meanwhile, question papers sent by the Council, have reached 203 examination management hubs and are kept under 24-hour security. Besides, CCTVs have been installed at each hub.

The question papers would be sent to the examination centres between 7 AM and 9 AM before the commencement of the examinations.

“The question papers have reached all examination hubs and are kept under the CCTV watch and tight security and would be sent to all 1092 examination centres by 9 AM. Besides, we have formed a 5-tier squad that would supervise and monitor the examinations in these centres. Specific instructions have been given all principals to keep a close watch on the centre superintendents against whom disciplinary action would be taken immediately in case of any irregularities,” additional secretary, Higher Education, Durga Prasad Behera told the media today.
