A letter to this effect has been written by additional chief secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Taradatt, official sources said.

During the visit of Union Home secretary Anil Goswami to the state on October 20, chief secretary JK Mohapatra had requested him to hand over NPR data as the ministry is handling the census-related digitised database for the states.

Though the state government has received the NPR database for Ganjam district, it shows only names of the heads of the households and the total number of the family members in the households.

However, the NPR database of all the villages and towns of the state is required along with details like names in full and resident status, sex and date of birth of the members of the households, Taradatt has said in his letter.
